Joseph Chambers
Founder and Principal, Creators of Space
Joseph Chambers is the founder and principal of Creators of Space, a Columbus, Ohio based extended reality studio that designs and builds immersive projects, products, and processes. Working across augmented and virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and smart glasses; the studio helps organizations turn designs into interactive 3D experiences.
Chambers has spent a decade designing AR and VR experiences across healthcare, manufacturing, aerospace, and education. His work includes medical education, training simulations, and interactive visualizations that help teams experience products, facilities, and concepts before they are built. He has developed projects with The Ohio State University, NASA, Honda, and other organizations.
He serves on the XR Association's Policy & Education Committee and is founder and first president of the VR/AR Association's Columbus chapter. Chambers previously worked as an extended reality specialist at Intuitive Surgical and taught at Columbia College. Earlier, as a graduate research associate and university fellow at The Ohio State University's Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design, he conducted Battelle supported research in immersive technology.
Chambers holds an MFA from The Ohio State University and a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois Chicago.
